"I drew those two by taking the hint from my current dog and my former cat, imagining them as puppies.
I'm going to turn them into two little painting to hang on my kitchen wall...well, this was the first idea... I still don't know if I'm really going to do so! :P EHEHE!

Passionflower's Fairy-Dragon

"I thought that it would be nice to make a series of painting about Fairy-Dragons and Flowers.
So, after the Roses, I decide to draw one of my favorite flowers: the Passionflower.
Since Passionflowers have a very exotic appearance, I imagined that their Fairy-Dragons (who are also their guardians and caretakers), should camouflaging like many exotic animal are used to, in order to survive. ^_^
It took me about 7 hours to finish it.
I can't wait to draw another Fairy-Dragon... I only need to decide which flower should I chose...Uhm.... It's hard! XD

"In the last weeks I found myself drawing cute dragons everywhere! (Well, actually I TRY to make them cute... ^_^' eheheh!).
This time I tried to represent a Fairy-Dragon (so a simple dragon but with butterfly wings).
I decided to draw it in a rose garden because I'm not so good in draw roses (they usually seem like a bunch of savoy cabbages! BUAHAHAHAHAH!  Dreadful! XD), so it was also an excuse to improve. ^_^
It took me 2 days to finish it, but it was quite fun to colour it!

Mystic Unicorn

"Even if the Unicorn is my favorite mystical creature, even if I drew thousand and thousand of them, this is only the second time that I post a Unicorn on my blog (the first one is a puppy though).
Yesterday I was feeling like I had to draw something in turquoise... Some time ago I started this Unicorn with a pencil and so I thought it was the perfect time to finish it. ^_^
I decided to place him in the water, because it is known that water is the element from which it takes his power.
I'm sorry that the quality of the picture is pretty low, I'll fix it as soon as I can! ;)

" Tonight I dreamt about this little guy... I swear that I can't remember that dream at all, but this morning I woke up and find it still hanging around inside my head. XD
I had to draw it! *__*
I really don't know why it had a tooth in its hands, but I decided to keep it as I "saw" in my dream. ^_^

Season of memories

Art Nouveau Frame01

"Last week, talking to my father about the nice weather, he started to say aloud a doggerel about the months of the year that his father was used to recite.
He was a bit disappointed because he couldn't remember it in full, so I decided to search for it on the internet, and I found it! ^_^
When I read it out loud for him, he was almost moved .
Seeing him like that, I promised him that I would have done a nice frame for that doggerel, so that he could always remember it.
Yesterday I worked all day to finish it in time, 'cause today is Father's day.
This is the result. ^_^

I took the hint for the natural frame from this image found on the internet:

Than I've personalised it putting other particulars all in a Art Nouveau style (that I love!).

I worked on a A3 sheet using pencil, ink and watercolors."

"She actually is a side character of my story, but everybody fell in love with her cute glance. Ihihih! ^_^
She is one of the "troubles" that I was talking about in the previuos post, even if she was only searching for some tasty leaf ! XD ahahah!
Also this, as the first illustration, is made on canvas, coloured with watercolor and pencils."

My Thesis project

"As yesterday I finally did my thesis, I can now show the illustrations of my project. ^_^
This in particular is the first one.
The story is about a little pixie that wants to know how to be an adult, so he decide to begin a journey to find it out without anybody's help.
During this journey, he meet someone very special that wants to stand by his side and also so many troubles to go through! XD
I used watercolor and coloured pencils on canvas for almost all illustrations of the book."

"Last Christmas I decided to send to all my friends and relatives a Christmas card made by me. ^_^
I drew an angel in the snow surrounded by animals with a candle in her hand.
I did it using ink, watercolor and finished by PC.
Is it Christmassy enough? ihihihi! ^_^"

"Mushy-Mushy is always in my mind! XD
Actually this picture was born as a doodle made on a cardboard on my desk that I use as mousepad. I did it with a simple black pen. As my boyfriend saw it, he said that it was cute and that I had to put it in my blog.
So I decided to coloring it and, as the cardboard was really thick, I chose watercolors. ^_^"

The guardian of winter

"Every year there is a tiny robin that flies in my garden and his presence tells me that winter has arrived.
Almost every day I feed him with some crumb of bread that I usually leave on my balcony and, when I turn around to go back inside the house, he flies over the bread and starts to eat.
When I look back at him, he's watching me with his little round black eyes, just like he wants to say "Thank's a lot!".
 I think that Spring is coming soon because I don't see him for days... I hope to see him next year too. ^_^

"The thing that I always loved about pixie's stories was that, in the illustrations, they were always smiling at work.
It seems like they're having fun for just doing something toghether! ^_^
I wanted to convey the same atmosphere of joy and peace that this stories always made me feel while reading.

"As everybody can see, I love Fantasy and, most of all, stories about fairies and pixies.
Since I was a child, parents and relatives were used to buy me illustrated books full of colourful pictures about "the little people" and all the animals of the forest.
This is the reason why I started to draw this kind of characters and topic.
In this picture you can see how I imagine pixies: little kids with green skin that likes to laugh and play. ^_^
My thesis book is based on the adventures of one of this pixies. But I'll post it later... ehehe! XD

In this version I first used the technique of etching on zinc, and then I colored it with watercolor and pencils.
It's a bit more complicated and a bit more detailed than the first one.
